MIKON THz Session May 11 & LIA Meeting May 12/13 2016

W dniach 12-13 maja 2016 roku w Krakowie odbyło się II międzynarodowe spotkanie LIA Meeting 2016. Spotkanie było zorganizowane przez IWC PAN w ramach projektu międzynarodowej współpracy laboratoriów z Polski, Francji i Rosji zajmujących się badaniami kolektywnych zjawisk w strukturach niskowymiarowych w zakresie terahercowym oraz w podczerwieni (ang. Laboratory of Terahertz and Mid-Infrared Collective Phenomena in Semiconductor Nanostructures – TERAMIR).

W ramach spotkania były wygłoszone prezentacje związane z teorią, wzrostem i badaniami w zakresie teraherców i średniej podczerwieni (TERA-MIR). Były ponadto dyskutowane właściwości nowych nanostruktur półprzewodników Diracowskich, w tym izolatorów topologicznych.

W spotkaniu uczestniczyło około 30 naukowców z Polski, Francji, Rosji, Ukrainy, Litwy i Chin. Zostało wygłoszonych 15 referatów. Powstały zarysy przyszłych innowacyjnych projektów naukowych w ramach projektu LIA – TERAMIR.
